ATLANTA — An arrest has been made in the Tuesday shooting death of a DeKalb County teen.
Late Thursday, investigators from the DeKalb Sheriff’s Office Fugitive Squad apprehended Henok Tesfaye for allegedly killing 16-year-old Frederick English, authorities said.
Tesfaye, 18, has been charged with murder. He was also wanted for a Sept. 4 armed robbery in which he is accused of taking an Apple iPhone and $250 at gunpoint.On Tuesday, police said, English was walking with friends in a residential neighborhood near Lithonia when someone in a black vehicle pulled up and started shooting. English was hit and staggered to the next street, where residents tried – unsuccessfully, according to Channel 2 Action News – to call for help through 911 before driving him to the hospital.
